It's Been a LONG Week

A lot has gone on these past few days. Parker got circumsized on Friday which about broke my heart. I'm just glad it's over with. He was really fussy all Friday and Saturday. He didn't want to eat at all on Saturday but he finally had some around 7pm. I noticed he was pretty warm so I took his temp and it was 100.4 I didn't think I needed to call the Dr. I had thought about just waiting it out over night to see if his fever broke. I finally decided to call the Dr. around 8 and he said to wait a few hours and see if he starts to eat again and to see how his fever was doing. At about 10pm I checked his temp and it was 101.8 so I called the Dr. and he told me to go into the ER. I got to the ER around midnight and the began poking my lil guy. He had an IV put in, blood drawn, catheder put in for a urine sample and a spinal tap so they can check his spinal fluid for Menengitis. Come to find out he has a Urinary Tract Infection. Because he is so young they told me he needed to be in the hospital for 24 to 48hrs. Well Sunday morning the Dr. came in and said that he'll need to be here a minimum of 7 days so he can get his antibiotics through an IV. They are also watching the samples they took to see if any bacteria grows on them. He had an ultrasound done yesterday and the results came back normal. Today he gets another test done where they stick a catheder in to shoot some die into his system and they will take x-rays to see how his urine is flowing. He's supposed to stay here til Sunday but the Dr. says if things continue to go well then he might be able to leave tomorrow or Thursday. It's been really hard being in the hospital and not being able to see my husband and daughter as much as I want to. I miss them so much.

I went to the Dr. today because my right boob was killing me and I woke up this morning feeling like I have the flu. The Dr. said I have mastitis. GREAT! That's what I want to be dealing with while I'm in the hospital with Parker. I'm trying to keep a positive attitude on things. I know Heavenly Father is watching out for us and will continue to bless our family. I am so grateful that Parker is doing relatively well. I will post pictures of his hospital stay when I get home.

Parker Alan Lee!

On Thursday I went in to be induced and HURRAY, we finally had Parker! We gave birth to a healthy baby boy at 2:30 Friday morning. It was a very long night! He weighed 7lbs. 14oz and was 20 inches long. He's been such a good baby. We feel so blessed to have him in our family. Today was his 1st newborn appt and it gave Adam and I our first taste of being parents to 2! Parker was hungry and Jocelyn was tired. She was good but was getting into everything. Parker cried the entire time we were there. And he peed on the floor and all over me when I was walking to the scale. Oops, I figured I could walk there and weigh him without him peeing. What was I thinking. I've learned that boys pee all the time and pee where ever they want! It's still a little overwhelming having 2 children but thankfully I've had my mom here and Adam here to help me. It'll be difficult once Adam goes back to the office. I've begged him to stay here with me for a few more days. Hopefully I'll get used to things quickly. Here are some picures of our son.

Parker Update

Well it's 5 days past and still no baby. I can tell he's gonna be a mama's boy already cuz he's too afraid to leave the womb. :) Tomorrow I am scheduled for an induction at 3pm. Hopefully it works out well and I don't have to go home. My cervix isn't ripe enough so they will start the cervical gel first and if that doesn't work I might have to go home and wait it out. If it does start to work then they'll give me pitocin. I don't want to go home so please keep me in your prayers. :) Chelsie, there is a very good chance that Brookelyn and Parker will have the same birthday! How exciting!

Where is Parker?

Well, today is my official due date and no baby yet. I'm seriously wondering if I'm really pregnant or just fat around my mid section. I'm being as patient as I can but I'm ready to have him in my arms. I'm not even having a signs of his coming. I only have minor contractions here and there but other than that I'm feeling no different. Hopefully he'll be here this weekend.

Pictures of Jocelyn

Adam bought me a new camera last week so I tried it out and took tons of pictures of Jocelyn. Here are a few I took.

She loves her daddy. :)

Papa and Jocelyn

Jocelyn and Grandma Jineane.

She's saying cheese. What a cute face.

This is her scary face.

Jocelyn is such a sweet kid. She's going to be the best big sister ever!

Counting down the days.

I can't believe I only have 10 days left! It doesn't seem right. Only 10 days to get everything ready for his arrival. I'm a little overwhelmed and getting a little scared of having 2 kids. So I think I'm just going to relax today and start tomorrow. :) Have a good week everyone!

Making Cookies With Mama!

Jocelyn and I decided yesterday to make cookies! I was given this Chocolate Chip recipe and it is the best cookie recipe I've made so far. Rather then having Jocelyn fight for my attention while I was making them, I just decided to have her help me. She's such a big helper and had so much fun. I love my little girl!
